About

Hi, my name is Courtney Rose.  I am a Texas transplant by way of Indiana. I am married to an amazing man and we have a daughter who is the light of our lives. We are blessed to live in Houston, Texas and dream of one day living in the mountains of Colorado.  We enjoy being outdoors, riding four-wheelers, swimming, hanging out at the beach, or just playing at a park.

God truly blessed us when he allowed us to become parents. I can't imagine life without our little Macelyn. She brings so much joy and happiness to our lives.  I adore the sound of my daughter's and husband's laughter as they play together. It is one of my most favorite things. We love to explore our city, find new places to eat and visit friends.  We always have the best kind of fun together.

I am a lover of all things DIY.  My favorite DIY is refurbishing furniture.  I know my husband probably gets tired of all of the "Annie Sloan Paint Projects" I have going. I love to take an old piece of furniture and bring new life to it.  If it's in our house I'm probably going to paint it with AS chalk paint at some point.

I also love photography.  Starting as an early teen, I became obsessed with snapping pictures. I was always the one carrying around my camera taking pictures. Always asking my parents to get my film developed for me. It wasn't until I was married and my husband bought me my first "grown-up" camera, a Nikon D7000, that I really began to learn about photography and actually started pursuing it.  I am self taught. I began googling everything and I mean everything. I eventually taught myself to use my camera in manual and haven't looked back.  I know that I may not be the best photographer, but as a friend told me the other day... "Just because you may not be the best at the talent you have, that does not excuse you from using your talent." I continue to be inspired by the beauty of this world we live in and I love capturing it.

So this blog will probably be a lot of pictures of my family, and our city and every now and then some of my insights into this amazing thing called life that we get to live everyday.
